Default Installing stereo in 97 Jimmy.

How do I get the stereo out? I bought the harness and what not, no i'm looking and I can't figure out how to get the stereo out.

You have to remove the trim from around the cluster, radio, hvac controls, etc. This typically requires you to drop the hush panel off from under the dash on the driver side to get at some of the screws holding the gauge surround trim on. Then there likely is some screws above the cluster on the underside of the trim (can't remember exactly).

Once the trim is off, there will be screws holding the stereo into the dash framework.

Ok, thanks, I'm helping a friend out so any info will help.

Know anything about a heater core?
