Default ipod inline preamp

I have been having trouble finding a ipod inline preamp. Dose anyone know where to find a relatively inexpensive rca amp(or just what the technical term for one is). I am trying to match my cd volume with aux. volume, so when I switch between the two there is not a 30 decibel difference.

my set up is ipod = mini headphone jack to rca= panasonic flip out

thnx and yes I

isn't there an ipod cable attachment for your Panasonic radio?

because for the 2006 and up headunits from them there is one.

yea I saw those but I am not sure if they have a huge drop in out-put or not
i know they will give me control over play list ect. through head unit. but will they fix the overall decibel drop?? its literary 38 db for cd & 12 for ipod when i switch between the two it scares the hell out me

it should take care of it as long as you keep your ipod EQ set to off and just let the radio take over. I have a Pioneer HU with the ipod cable and as long as i leave the EQ off i have no issues whatsoever so, i don't know about panasonic because i've always had a pioneer. for $40 i'd try it out and if it doesn't work, send it back

My Pioneer has a feature that I can turn seperate sources up or down so that there is no drop at all between iPod, Radio, CD, Flash drive etc.

When you hook up the ipod to any deck with ipod control using an interface cable it will not allow volume control through the ipod. The volume is set the same as all other inputs and all control is though the head unit. Get yourself the interface cable and play it thought that and you will be good to go.

DEH-5100UB. Its called FLA I believe . its not actually the volume, Its just adjusting the levels of output per source.
