not really thats y i was attracted to the e1400D but it says it only has a 6 DB bass boost would that be a bad thing cuz the 500/1 has like a 15 DB bass boost
no, if you use any bass boost, only use a little. dB boost sounds like poop and is bad for your subs if its too high

well on most head units, the sub-out/non-fade setting is a dB boost. depending on what HU u have, each incriment could be like 1/2dB or 3dB. i believe pioneer decks have 3 dB incriments, and my eclipse has really low incriments (not sure what though). and on some head units its just like a gain setting for the subamp. i remember my old alpine had 0-15 and you had to set it on 15. so if i wanted to turn it down, i just went to like 10 or something, but there was no way on the deck to boost the subamp. but whatever you choose, only use either the decks dB boost or the amps.

the RIPS system on tha slash series gives you the true 500 watts rms @ any voltage, usually 11.5-14.somethin.. the e series doesnt, so the lower voltage ur car/amp has, the less watts it will power.. im goin to get the 300/4 for my highs
also.. the slash has a parametic eq.. lets u pick center frequency, width and boost it
