Default led's neons in car

I know theres a few people who have put some led's or neon lighting in their blazers just curious to how you did it. I want a few strips of lighting on the inside roof of my blazer. I'm not to sure of the best way to do this. Any suggestions on light and how do you run the wires. Also wanting to go blue.

i ran so many led's in my truck now its sick, i redid all my switches to blue and led's under the seats also on the floors in the front and back. Id say your best bet would be to buy like a blue led bar from autozone or somewhere of that nature. Now if you dont mind putting a few little holes in your headliner get a little block of wood about 2-3 inches thick and put it inside your headliner (to do this take off the handles and cloth hanger and just pull down and stick the block of wood where u want it), then take the neon bar and screw it on to each block of wood. So for 1 neon bar lets just say its 1 foot long, you would have 2 little blocks of wood 1 foot apart in the location of where you want to put the bar. Then just match up the screw holes on each side of the bar to the little blocks of wood and screw them in. As for wiring them id run the wire right passed one of the screw holes threw the headliner, and take the drivers side molding off (the molding thats diagonal going from your headliner to your windshield) and bring the wires threw there into your fusebox. Thats how i have alot of my stuff wired. If your running very long neons id say not running them to your fusebox and running them to your battery instead.

Ya i've seen the pics of ur blazer i like it alot. you got a how to on changing ur dash lights like the switch's and what not? Also if i ran it to the fuse box what would i hook it up to in there? sorry haven't ran wiring like that before i did all my own audio amps and what not but just know how to run those straight from the batt.

Also any ideas on how to turn them on off? (i like toggle switches )

i will makea how to and as for the wiring it depends when you want them on. If your running them on switch which i hope you do, and you want the lights to be able to come wether the truck is on or not then you run the power cable to a fuse that is constant like the cig. lighter fuse. If you want the lights only to be on when the truck is running then run it to a fuse that isnt constant like the windshield wipers. How you do is pull the fuse and wrap the exposed power wire around the conducters of the fuse and plug it back in making sure the wires dont fall out. O and for the lights just run your ground to the clothe hanger screw.

If your looking for a custom LED strip then check out my thread
I posted pics of how i did it.
i don't know how intensive you want to get as far as taking things apart but i think the way i did it the least damaging way to do it. though definitely not the easiest/fastest route. Let me know if you're interested in how i did it.[8D]

i used high intensity ones from radio shack. my way of doing it is prolly only a better way if you're more interested in having a unique setup. and having that feeling of accomplishment that only come with completely doing it yourself. I'll actually go take sum pics of it now, i meant to do that today anyways.... I just installed LED's under my dash and boy do they light it up

ok here they are, as promised, more in my thread though.
