This sub have any potential? Or can anyone suggestan 18for $350 orless that I can bepurchased with a credit card?

will most likely have 1600 watts on tap from the 1605 or 1606

I am looking for something louder than the R's that I can compete with when it comes....and I want to go with one sub in a huge box

probably not re, unless they're easy to buy from and ship to canada.
E.D was amazingly easy to deal with when i got my deadning, and very fast.

Check ebay, look for Treo SSX 18, Atomic APX 18, MMATS juggernaut 18. know i saw an RE XXX on craigslist for 330. I don't like the low power handling of ED speakers, they sound great, but easy to smoke em.

would never waste my heard earned money on overpriced JL. im actually getting away form my 18, and gng louder with two 15's. i think Im getting TC SOunds TC-3000.

Its gng to be real hard to get decent quality for under 300 bucks, even used. might get lucky tho.

I've read a many bad things about ED subs. I want to try ficaraudio.com The Q is rated at 1000wrms, and the BTL is about 2000wrms. Apparently Jan 15th ish they are coming out with a new line of Q's that can have options added and will be able to handle more power. I would avoid RE since they are now owned by US amps and the prices are much higher now. Def look into FI if you haven't heard of them already.

well, the btl's will handle alot more than 2000 watts rms. ask anyone on www.realmofexcursion.com and they'll tell you. one guy has 4 18" btl's and like 20k watts going to them.
