Hey all

I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch 40 amp, and a Alpine 3540 amp. Any one know anything about these?

I have the Punch 40 hooked up to a 10" JL in a ported box, but I get all music out of the sub not just bass. Do I need some sort of crossover or something?

I also have a set of 6.5" Kenwood(KFC-P703) speakers 170w peak power. They are 2.5" deep. Will these fit in the doors of my 95 Blazer? Its a 4 door.

My last 3 amps were Punches. They're great. There should be a a X over on there. what series amp is it? You can install an external electronic crossover before the amp if you don't have one.

Is the JL subwoofer a DVC? Wire it up in series!

To play w/ things a bit, you can add a DSP between the electronic crossover and amp.
My buddy has an Epicenter (brand.) There are other DSP out there too .

4low: Don't know what the series is, but its purple. Don't own any cross overs.

DSP, digital signal processing. Fatryan will come in and probably tell you it is used as a "patch" for awesome systems. I'd liek to hear his thoughts on them.

My other amp is real old. The side plates are gold and the amp itself it silver.

 

My amp no look nothing like that. No idea how old it is. It came with my car when I bought it.
