Default Mystery wire and fustrating radio

I have a stock Delco radio that likes to turn off on me(when radio turns ofa squealing noise comes out of speakers)and holds no memory(preset stations and time) i finally ripped apart my dash to look at it. there is an orange wire that is connected to nothing and i have 4 .......connection ports to the back of the radio and only 3 are being used. i might replace my radio cause it has hinted it is dieing but i would like to know what these wires are for before i get another radio. And if your wondering i have the complete rainbow behind there(digital dash)

as a side note there is a black and white wire coming out of my floorboards on the driver side.........it looks like someone cut it, and i do beleve once apon a time there was a car phone in there(sprint antenna mounting bracket on back driver side window) could this be part of it?

I don't want to spend alot of money on a new radio, and i also know you get what you pay for......So has anybody heard of a brand called DuraBrand? It's a $50 radio and it looks like i won't need to stuff any space up were the old one was. Also i plan to keep my stock speakers. I'm not realy into shaking peoples windows
