Mystery wire and fustrating radio
I have a stock Delco radio that likes to turn off on me(when radio turns ofa squealing noise comes out of speakers)and holds no memory(preset stations and time) i finally ripped apart my dash to look at it. there is an orange wire that is connected to nothing and i have 4 .......connection ports to the back of the radio and only 3 are being used. i might replace my radio cause it has hinted it is dieing but i would like to know what these wires are for before i get another radio. And if your wondering i have the complete rainbow behind there
(digital dash)
as a side note there is a black and white wire coming out of my floorboards on the driver side.........it looks like someone cut it, and i do beleve once apon a time there was a car phone in there(sprint antenna mounting bracket on back driver side window) could this be part of it?

well the black wire is gunna be ur ground.
i'm not sure what the factory wires r but i would just say go get a new radio and that will help u figure out the wiring a lil better.

I don't want to spend alot of money on a new radio, and i also know you get what you pay for......So has anybody heard of a brand called DuraBrand? It's a $50 radio and it looks like i won't need to stuff any space up were the old one was. Also i plan to keep my stock speakers. I'm not realy into shaking peoples windows
