I just bought a Pioneer DEH-P5800MP off of ebay.
This comes with faceplate, trim ring and mounting sleeve but no wiring harness.
What can i do to hook this up to my stock blazer with the stock stereo.
Keep in mind i have a 94 s10 blazer 2 door.
Can i buy wiring harnesses to hook it up to the factory wires or what do i need to buy to install it into my car? Where can i buy them? etc
Anything you can tell me, any kind of help at all so i dont end up regretting this buy would be much obliged.
Thank you

you gotta get a wiring harness for any new radio you buy. just go to best buy/circuit city/ walmart and get the specific wiring harness for your vehicle. it just plugs into the dash outlet and gives you un-terminated wires to splice with the radio's un-terminated wires. thus the radio communicates with the vehicle's wiring.
you'll also need a dash adapter. That will take up the 4 inch brick space where the factory radio was, and make the new radio fit nicely in the dash.
not sure about the 94, but in my 2000 I had to cut out the rear radio support bracket to allow the depth clearance for a flush fit with my dash adapter and dash panel.

Alright so off of crutchfield.com it allows me to buy a wiring harness for my car for 10 bucks, the mounting kit which will just make the deck portrude out an inch for 20 bucks and the antenna adapter for 10 bucks, that would do the trick?
Or do you think it would be cheaper to just go into best buy or circuit city and ask them for everything i need

will be cheaper from crutchfield. hands down. try 20 for dash kit and harness each, and 17 for the antenna adaptor at the BB

yeah, that is right, in my 2000 i had to get a gap filler because my stock HU was huge and took up more space than my new HU so i had to get a piece to fill in the unused space around the new HU..wiring harnesses are must when buying a new HU...should be able to get one at bestbuy or something..thanks
