so i was check some stuff out online and came across the new alpine decks. these new ones r specifically ment for ur ipod (or other mp3) and looks sooo sweet. if i had extra money i would upgrade my old alpine deck to this but not now atleast lol. so here it is

That is the new 2008 version of the IDA-X001. I looked at it for my Blazer, but I decided against it. The impressive screen doesn't remove with the faceplate (I didn't like the idea of showing any potential thieves that this HU was better than average), and the pre-outs were only 2 volts. So the screen being the thing that set it apart from my deck also made me not want it. Coupled with some lesser RCAs and a MUCH larger price tag made my choice for the CDA-9885 pretty easy.

 

ya thats the only thing i dont like about it too. but if the screen is black and matches good i dont think it would stand out that much cuz they already see the HU area where ur faceplace would be so they could just get a faceplate off ebay cheap and sell it like that or somethin so idk if its that big of a concern

 

They are also kinda hard to use. the big **** is really touchy

 

these arent like a brand new thing. They've been out for awhile now. (like 2-3 years ago)

 

well ya there used to be the X001 now theres the X100, X200, X300 which r brand new basically redone from the previous X001

 

Damned iPod only crap!

Bring out some stuff for people who don't have iPods!

this new deck has a usb port so it works w/ any mp3 player not just ipod. no cd player tho if thats what ur lookin for
