Default new box - again

Well peeps, you may have noticed i throw around a lot of ideas. well, here we go again. my last setup was that 3 chamber, 13 cubic foot box all around ported at 35 hz. It great, what more could i want. Well, i need SPL. 35 hz isnt doing it. So back to the drawing board for a Comp only box. i will post the pics of the design in a few but here it goes. I started with a design by Treo Engineering that won the world record. It was for a van and held 6 15's. So i resized the plans for 4 12's and a blazer. well, after insulation, wood and all the other stuff was taken out of the equation - it sat a mighty 16.77 ft^3 internally for 4 12's to share. im thinking that 4 cubic per sub is a little much. so the box may get a lil thinner, but its a front facing wall if you will, with the ports going from roof to floor in the middle with 2 subs on each side angled about 30 degrees inward. there will be 8, yes 8, 4 inch ports going down the center of the box. I will get a pic of the design. its crazy. I will use it in class Modified 2. i will be trying to run my amp off a 25 amp fuse, its possible, with 2 batteries and the truck running. Then hit the 55-60 hz tone and sit back. The ports will be 2.5 inch long each creating a ported box at 56-57 hz. OH YEAH - SPL WILL BE COMMIN"!

looks good, but it just dont seem like those little ports will give you such a high tuning frequency. you should have a gihugeic port. maybe i just am not picturing it right though. dont hurt to double check your measurements though

ya gonna use Flared PVC or like Aero ports?

I'd do a big ol slot port if it were me

But good stuff! cant wait to see it at the PA meet!

Im about to start mine up this week. Hopefully false flooring abit for the amp. We'll have to see on that if I have enough room

i think 56Hz is a little to high. my new box is gonna be tuned to 42Hz.
