Default new setup...

Here's my setup so far. Just got it in a couple days ago. The full specs are:

PG RSD65CS in the kickpanels
US Amps IS2080 powering the PG's
2 RE Audio SR15's
6.0 cubes @ 30.5hz, 88sq in port
GS Designs GS6000 @ 1 ohm each side realistically 500wRMS per sub (rated 600wrms)
1 Optima yellow top in the back (hey, can't bitch... got it for 10$)
2 gauge welding wire, soon to be 1/0
Big 3 done in 1/0.

just two pics for now, the wiring needs cleaned up a big and the box needs carpeted and the flush baffle put on. Easily the loudest setup I've heard personally.

you have any internal bracing in that box? Is that a wire coming out of the port? how is that box secured to your vehicle?

it is bolted internally to the stock 'tow hooks' as you could call them and and no, its not braced. there is no box flex so I don't see why it would need braced.. I don't have any build up pics. And yes, the wire is coming out of the port. I'm waiting for the terminal to come. If your going to try and nitpick it apart then don't even bother posting. I'm not in it for show.

I have been mounting amps to boxes since the day I stepped into car audio. I've never had a problem so i continued this method. I've heard of people saying you can get vibration damage but yet I've never actually seen a case of it to back it up.

internal bracing is to reduce enclosure flexing while the subs are playing. This makes the enclosure more stable and actually increases SPL. Just because you dont see it happeneing, doesnt mean its not occuring. And no, Im not nitpicking your install apart, just asking simple quesitons bud. Most people dont secure boxes to their vehicle. Since I couldnt tell by looking at your picture, I had to ask.

once i get the flush baffle screwed and glued on it will eliminate most and or all of the box flex i probably dont have.

most people don't secure the box because there retards when it comes to safety. the last thing I want is a 250lbs sub box crushing me from behind if I ever got into an accident.

Figured I'd update this instead of making a new thread. here's how the box is now. It's kind of 'built in'. New box to. 6.5 @ 28hz. same subs/amp for now.

after trim/logo painted/port painted.
