next system build 8 12s slot ported box
#2
why a slot port tho?
what subs?
i'm guessing the back seat is coming out for this? dont see how u can fit 8 12's into a blazer trunk........
too many subs in my opinion. u can do 4 12's and have money/room left over to throw some good power at them, and still have the back seat.

you dont really have enough room to do a ported box for 8 12s in the cargo area. spec calls for 1.5cu ft per woofer for a total of 12cu ft needed. even maxing your box out at 18" tall it still only gives you roughly 9cu ft to work with. I would suggest getting some better subs.
They are rated at 360w RMS but looking at the build quality I wouldnt give them more then 300w and they are only a SVC woofer so I doubt that the coil is very large either.
What are the dimensions your using for your box?

350 watts rms?? why would you bother with a girly speaker like that????? and 8 of them?
invest in something decent. go get three DD9515g's and a pair of 3k amps. strap the amps on those subs and you will go deaf in no time.
subs up, port back and you are booming.

DD is way over priced and yes they are going mainstream. their quality and customer service has gone down the ****ter the last few years...check out either sundown audio or dc audio. two very good brands.
anywho...stay on topic with this guys build.
