I'm ceasing to play with my stupid high beams. My low beams are way brighter and I might as well get something to make the high beams worth using. The lights are very good, but not perfect. I'm going back to HID as soon as I get paid friday. I'm gonna ordera9005, 4300k HID kit. Pics will follow in about 2-3 weeks hopefully.
I WILL do a writeup!!!!

Right on Brent. I've been thinking of picking up a PNP kit for mine, but I just spent $50 on some Sylvania's, so I want to get my moneys worth in time out of them, lol...Cant wait to see some progress pics!

Might even go with a 5400k kit if I see something cheap. It'll probably be a plug & play kit.

atelast you are being reasonable and picking a kelvin rating which actually improves your visabilty. Anything over 5400K is worthless unless you are strictly going for looks.

Sounds good. Are you putting HID's in your high beams? If so thats probably not a good idea since they don't like going on and off, plus they probably don't like being DRL's. I would get them for the low beams and then just get a nice silverstar, piaa, or equivalent bright high beam bulb.

IIRC, in the chatroom, Brent mentioned he was disabling his DRL/AHL so the running lights shouldnt be a problem. however, i agree that they are more functional as low beams becaus you use them much more.
Also, i wouls suggest a 4300K kit... Mine is a 5000K and is way more blue than i had expected
5000K 9006 bulb on the pass side and a regular silverstar (not ultra) on the drivers side.

I have Raybrig 4900k bulbs in my projectors. They are so good, I couldn't get my high beams to match. I'm going HID instead of getting another pair of Raybrigs to put in.

Just don't get a 50w kit... They're using 35w bulbs, so you get less life and a lot of extra heat... As in possibly damage things kind of heat...
I hardly flash my highbeams at anyone, anymore... But instead of replacing my highs with HID's... I'm going to be putting a bi-xenon projector in my headlights... 2x highbeams

I can't change my projector lense, its glued in.
I've decided on getting a 5000k kit. I'm buying from ebay seller "kickxtc" has 98.8% positive feedback. He sellsg.e. kits.
I'm gonna buy them tonight if parents permit. If they don't I'll buy them tonight anyway.

I can let ya know if it'll work or not... I've got the same headlights, lol.
Better yet, let me know how well the optics/light output is with those... Maybe I'll slap another set of HID highbeams in there...
