Default Omega REC-11+

I have one of these installed in my Jimmy. I had an issue with power to it and so I took it back to CC which did a radio install that started the issues with it. What they did was put yellow with yellow and red with red....however yellow in the radio is constant and RED on the Omega is constant...makes no sense, but one of the manufacturers doesn't play nice. My question is this...the install manager FREAKED when he saw the REC-11 hooked to the radio harness. He said that keyless entry stuff can draw too many amps and fry some wires. He said that all of those types of installs should be done under the steering column...SO...should I leave it like it is or should I take it to someone and have it wired under the steering column?

Default RE: Omega REC-11+

it should NOT be connected into wires at the radio. they will pull too much current and pop fuses. take it somewhere else or pm me and if you feel up to installing it yourself, let me know.
