which orange wire?

Default which orange wire?

2003 blazer. The wire harness that plugs into the factory harness has an orange wire and an orange wire with a white stripe. the wire harness from the aftermarket head unit just has an orange wire with a white stripe. which wires do i need to hook up?

well orange is for constant power not sure on the orange with white though

no yellow is for constant power. im not talking about the blazer's harness. im talking about the adapter and the radio's harness

Sorry it was pretty late when I wrote that, your right. Connect the orange and white if the aftermarket radio has a solid orange wire. If the radio has an orange and white then just leave the orange wire disconnected.

so connect the orange and white to the orange and white and leave the plain orange from the adapter harness connected to nothing? this will allow the radio to dimm when i dim the rest of my dash lights?

Try this. There is a wealth of info on there in the DB but youll have to look around at the diffrent specs for diffrent years. hope it helps.

Do not hook up either wire. Just cap them off. For pos and neg dimmer. In the prob 3000+ decks I have installed, they will usually cause more harm than good.

Im not messing with the factory wiring. i have one of those wire harness adapters that plug into it. i just need to know which if any of the orange wires to hook up to the revceivers orange/white wire. there is an orange/white and just plain orange wire coming out of the adapter harness.
