anyone have one in there car?
was looking at a few on ebay but not sure on what to get
I'm assuming that they are mounted in the engine bay correct? but then how does the mic reach the inside of your car?
just thought that It would be a cheap and fun accessory to have for yelling at random strangers as I drive by or to tell that annoying road raged person in front or behind me to take a chill pill
pics if possible plz so I can see how it works out

I know if you have a cb with a PA setting you can put the speaker under the hood and use your regular microphone, just a suggestion.

ok from what I have researched on it I can just get a radioshack 50 or 100w horn and hook it up with a CB/AP capable cb radio I just need to know which one to get... I have herd allot of people use the the Cobra 19 DXIII but those run about $45 and up still would like to know a good way to set it up though with out having the waires strung all over the place or exsposed to the elememts

You can run wires in the engine bay fine. On my old car, I had a 45w horn from radio shack, and it was very loud. Used with a basic Uniden radio. 100w would be incredibly loud.. Run wires just like doing a sub install...signal to the PA horn through the passenger side firewall grommit.

passenger side in the front on the floor under the carpet right? how do you pull up the carpet? i know theres just clips holding them down
and were should I mount the speaker? drill some holes in the frame and bolt it up?
oh what about the cb? were can i put that at

I just installed my CB in the centre console tray, but you will need to mount it on a piece of wood or something because it will be a little wider then the tray itself. my cb is the cobra-18 wx st ll, and to solve the wire issue, i wired it to a cigrette lighter adapter wich plugs into the aux 12 volt under the dash. as for the horn, find a good spot close to the grill maby? still not to sure about that.
