go with alpine, a little extra cash, but way worth it, awesome ipod capabilities, very good sound quality, 2 aux imputs, and 2 amp outputs. i have the alpine CDA-9887 and love it. paid 300 for it. you can get the ones that are a step down from mine for about 200 bucks.

Looks like I'm going to go up there tommorrow at 10 when they open because my friend decided to be dousche and say he would go but won't respond to a text. Pretty lame of him because just last week I drove him and someone who he was chilling with to pep boys to get his truck after he said he didn't need me to. So umm yeah going to be sitting in circuit city for an hour or 2 to wait unless I find a ride home to wait there. Btw I'm only trying to spend $120 now so should I get this Panasonic: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Panas...oductDetail.do
Or Pioneer: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Pione...oductDetail.do

Pioneer over the panasonic anyday

EDIT:

Are you installing this yourself or letting them since its "free" install for decks over 99 dollars. They'll hit ya for harness's and antenna adapters and a dash kit. So your looking at like 45 bucks extra

Wow, your ****ting me. It's going to be that much? I'm going there with like $140 cash to get this $104 head unit. I'm going to be pissed if I don't have enough. And you really think I should get the pioneer? The panasonic got better customer reviews like there is no sound difference and the panasonic is probably easier to use.

yea they will charge you extra they dont hardwire the new unit, they use adapters so just incase you need to go back to stock, and also to save there butt from screwing up your harness.

if u dont need the deck now i would say save for an alpine its the best. but if u want to choose between these two i would say pioneer over panosonic any day. panosonic is sooo cheap u get what u pay for pretty much. if i were u i would wait and save those decks rnt that good mine was 180 w/ all the stuff i needed to install it myself. (got the deck on sale) i would say wire it urself its not that hard and makes things better usually

im not against alpine at all b/c ive never really used one but, with my pioneer i can adjust pretty much everything (that a person with slightly above-average audio skillz would need to.)

you can hook up an ipod to any HU. most brands have some sort of brand-specific cable that can plug into the back (pioneer has ip-bus cable) most brands offer an ipod specific cable for their HU's... it all depends on what you're used to. with my pioneer i can adjust anything with my eyes closed. thats just because i use it everyday. if i were to switch over to an alpine, or panasonic, or eclipse, jvc, sony...etc etc... it would be difficult at first.

most brands have some sort of common problem among their HU's. pioneer's have an infamous problem with the RCA jacks.ever since i hooked up my 4chan, i get a quiet buzzing sound from the speakers.

the best thing to do would be to find what features you need and then narrow down the options to fit in your price range...

Wow, from hearing you guys not really talk all that great about panasonic I guess I'm back on getting a Pioneer head unit. It's just something about Pioneer and Alpine that sound a little to a lot more quality over any of the other choices (JVC,Sony and Eclipse etc).
