Default Pioneer TS-W258D4 vs JBL GTO1014D

I'm currently Running 2 lower end 12" mtx's, I need my cargo space back...

I am going for a 'clean' sounding bass, my current set up doesn't hit tight enough(probably because of the cheap subs, think they were 40 a pop last year)

I can pick up the ts-w258d4 locally for $44 but am not the biggest fan of the store....
JBL GTO1014D I can get locally for $79 and have a gift card....

I don't know too much about sound equiptment so figured I would get your opinions, I am leaning towards the JBL myself.
I will be powering off of my alpine mrd-m500 which has the following specs:

250 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms
MOSFET power supply and output stage
STAR Topology for cleaner sound
Bass Engine® features:
  • low-pass digital crossover, 30-200 Hz, 24 dB/octave
  • variable subsonic filter (15-50 Hz in 5 Hz steps)
  • parametric EQ variable from 30-160 Hz, ±12 dB
  • Bass Compensator enhances low-end definition
I also have my back up clif design amp that I have had for years(don't remember model number)....

Personally I would pick the JBL over the Pioneer any day. Even JBL's lower end subs use some of the technology and design from there bigger cousins and they do sound quite good while maintaining the ability to give plenty of output. That lower end Pioneer just doesn't stack up IMHO. Go with the JBL.

Your missing the most important part. The box

Are you using a prefab or are you building a new one?
