Default Power Wire Hook Up

ok so i sucessfully ran and tucked all the wires yesterday and when i got to the hooking up point i came to find that i didnt not have anywhere to hook the power wire up to my battery. The positive battery cable is a cluster of three diff. wires that are surrounded by a red insulator. the bolt that holds this to the battery will not allow me to attach my wire to it. Both of the connections (pos/neg) are connected to the side of the battery so i next figured that i could just use the top stems but when i looked for any traces of power i found they were dead. any answers? sorry if this is confusing, its hard to type when you are frustrated...

Default RE: Power Wire Hook Up

They sell battery terminal extenders. I believe you can get them at auto zone or advance.
