Default Q-logic kick panel. What are your thoughts?

Hi, I'm planning out a 3 way setup on a '01 S10 Blazer 4 door and intend to use 8" mid bass on doors, 4" mid rage on doors and tweeter on pillar.

I can get these:
Chevrolet GMC Isuzu Oldsmobile Component Speaker Kick Panel [QL-K1004B] - $189.95 : Q-Logic Direct, Car Audio Speaker and Subwoofer Enclosures (ql-2l-k1004B )
for $155 shipped, but I'm concerned on how they're aimed. I've read some reviews and these are known to be "flimsy", but then people say that if I treat them, they should be fine. I will not be using them for mid bass, perhaps the people who said they were "flimsy" were using them for mid bass applications? Seems like that part number is the correct one for my year make and model if some one knows that it will not work can you please notify me? As i was doing a search, it came up for a 94-97 S10, but not sure if the kicks are similar to the '01 Blazer 4 door kick panels and some sites came up to work for my vehicle, so just want that clearification. Sorry for the long post, thanks

could probably have someone over at the fiberglass forums build you a set for around the same price. I would rather have a quality set built for my specific speaker application than the Q logic ones.

I have a set for my 1st gen I picked up for $40 and they are ok. I wouldn't pay what they want that's for sure. They are flimsy and unless you find some cheap I would build a set.

As for aim, mine are different being a 1st gen but they seem fine to me. If its just s street truck and for your enjoyment I think they are fine. If you trying to win some contest you better off totally custom.
