Default Quick amp questions...

Quick questions:

1. When running a monoblock to two (2) subs wired in parrallel, do the subs each get the full power of the amp, or is it split between the two?
2. Does running a 1 ohm resitance lower the sound quality, and/or reduce the life of the subs and amp?

Thanks all!

Daniel

answers to questions:
1. the power is split between the 2 subs

2. running at 1 ohm does not lower the sound quality. Just provides more power from the amp. No it will not reduce the life of the sub or the amp as long the amp is 1ohm stable

if the amp is rated at 1 ohm stable it should not hurt the amp

750w -800 rms amp would equal 400 to each sub.... which subs are they?

Untrue Jimmy. Lower ohm load means more distortion. Which is why manufacturers give you the THD at a 4 ohm load and not the 1 ohm load.
