Radio on but no sound
I have a 2000 gmc jimmy. It has a stock radio/ speakers. I parked the suv and the next morning the radio had no sound. I thought it was the radio but replaced it with an aftermarket pioneer and had the same problem. This is frustrating and I cant figure it out. Also I noticed that the ampf 25amp fuse is missing and there is only one terminal in the fuse block. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I was going to ask if you have a Bose system as it runs thru an amp, if the radio dioesnt turn on the amp, you wont hear anything, but if the fuseblock doesnt have clips for a fuse for the amp, then you probably dont have a Bose system.
I'd start with looking thru your RPO Codes, on the label in the glove box, find out what system the truck came with. You'll also find out what else the truck came with that you might not know abt (unless you bought it new).. Here are a few RPO Code info sites.. the first is the Master RPO in .pdf form.. it should have every single option code GM offers.

GM RPO codes
LonestarThunder.com <--- this one is an RPO Decoder
Find out what was factory installed, then we can begin to troubleshoot.. jus' an idea..
Good luck,
