Radio Install and Amp

I am tying to install a Sony stereo into my 2000 blazer. the wiring harness i bought from bestbuy does not work. Any suggestions?
Also, I am two amps in the back. its a four door. I know i need to ground both amps, but where is a good place to use as a ground.
thanks

I saw those, but wasn;t sure if they would do. there are also some big bolts below the back seats. would they be a good ground?

I use the bolts on the luggage hooks for mine to they work fine. You could probably find some kind of bolt to use under the seat also. You mentioned your wiring harness you bought did not work. are you sure you bought the right one??

oh sorry you said you already found some bolts under the seat. Yes they should work just fine. Just use something to scrape the metal a little bit so you get a good connection.

do you have the Bose system? if so, youll need a bypass. otherwise, BB is just retarded again and they gave you the wrong harness.

i also use those hooks in the hatch. its ugly, but it works good. you may be able to use bolts under the rear seats, but make sure they are a solid ground with low impedance. use a volt meter. do NOT use seatbelt bolts, they are bad grounds. and where ever u decided to use, make sure to sand the area very well.

whatever ground you use make sure you get a piece of sand paper and get it down to bare metal.

I think fatryan and others already made that point clear.

I had to reposition a few wires on the hareness. now it works fines.

also, I'm not sure what you mean. use a voltmeter to check the impedance. not too familiar with a voltmeter.

i had a tutorial about unwanted noise, and it covered checking the resistance of your grounds. ill try to find it for ya.
