thanks jason! finished it up yesterday and tossed it in, fits good.

hits haarrd anyway, and the 80 amp fuse held even on some test tones. but my electrical sure dosent like it.....drops pretty good even while driving lol. I know i saw an odyssey battery dealer somewhere in town, i might hit them up today.

One thing ive never done prior to this build is set a ssf......any special process to this? I noticed playing bass i love you that the lowest note my subs didnt make ANY sound, but ill double check that today.....

other than that this box sounds really good to me, being my first ported.....seems just as musical as my old prefab sealed, i dont feel i lost any sq at all.

now i just have to replace my deck with one that actually reads cd's.....still set on that soundstream flip out

Ill try and take some pics and vids later today, but i warn, my camera dosent take prime quality video.....oh! and im going to get a matching rim and spare today too!

I would just put the ssf at around 20 or so, a bit lower than your box tuning.

yes, much better than the 501.....yet the 501 was still a much more musical amp, the sundown really blasts the lows.....i had the 501 on 2 of the old style type rs with epoxy holding part of the surround to the cone in a crappy sealed prefab with screw holes all over it......so this is quite a big change.

but of course i still want more....like any other bass head....looks like i need another 1500d and a couple 18's

Seems like the way to go is 4 12's. Just get 2 more and another amp, more wire (1/0), alt, battery or 2 and you'll be set!

yes, i found this little gem http://onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/...roductID=20387

20 feet of 0awg with 250amp anl fuse and all connectors for $70, not the best brand, but its still 0awg. I was really considering using some old welding cable i could probably get free, but the insulation dosent seem as abrasion resistent as this type of wire.....

good links for an alt that ships to canada? I've still kept this link around but i havent checked if they ship to canada.....http://www.motorcityreman.com/9495blazer43l.html

i really regret not getting 15's.....
