Default Remote for Amp

I'm having an issue with the remote wire for my amp. I don't see a pink (power antenna wire) in my dash and the ignition (yellow) doesn't seem to carry a current. I have it now into the 12v battery terminal but it stays on when the car is off, which i would assume is draining my battery, so i dunno whats up here, mabye im missing something lol.

Ummm... What year of vehicle are we talking about?

If it's a 2nd gen you should NOT be messing with the big flat yellow wire in the dash...

its a second gen. And i'm not talking about the air bag wire. There is an aftermarket harness for the stock headunit, the previous owner had an after market headunit, he spliced in the the HU into the stock wires, but then put a new harness on when he sold it so he had to splice that in also.

Hopefully the guy wired it up properly...

If there's no remote turn on lead on the deck (which there should be, unless it's a factory unit) then you could splice it into the same wire that makes the deck turn on with the key...

if there is a factory plug there, it will be a yellow that is 12v swiched. there will be two yellows, one smaller gauge, and one larger gauge. The yellow will be attached to the red on the aftermarket deck.
