Those infinity's must be pretty thin... My RF's don't fit in either hole, lol.

they are nice speakers.....but crackle and pop if I put any bass thru em........3 or 4" mid and a silk tweet.......sounds great....but not too durable.....I like the sound of those tweets more than the JL's [&:]

Would there be much of a difference between these set-ups?

Rear- 6.5' kappa
Front- 6.5' kappa
Sub- 1x Type-R

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rear- 6.5' kappa
Front- 6.5' kappa component set
Sub- 1x Type-R
Would it just be smarter to go with the first set-up?? I'd amp the interiors either way... No clue what amp though!
For the best imaging, the second one would be best, the tweeters in the dash make a big difference... I've gotta get something mounted there...
blazin: I love my RF 4x6s... and they take a moderate amount of bass... They usually were pretty close to my 6x9s... I want them to fit! But as it stands, if I want them in, I can't have the speaker grille... At least until I find a glue that works with the factory plastic, so I can mod things a bit...
If it ends up that the speakers don't fit after all, then I'd like to be able to put the grille back together...
As it is, you can't put the grille and the speakers in at the same time, lol.
The front (closest to the windshield), there's approximately 3/4" of an inch between the speaker and the dash, when the back part of the speaker is flush against the dash mounting...
The tweeters should fit, if they're 1" tweets... You might need to drill the hold a bit for the new tweeter to fit, but should bolt in otherwise...
