Default Replacing Rear Door Speakers

So Christmas is coming up and I'm sourcing out a list. Seeing as how I have two blown rear speakers, one in each door, I was looking for sizes and recommendations. So after reading articles, I believe that my 94 GMC Jimmy rear doors contain 6x3/4 speakers. I just wanted to make sure because I have also seen that they have been called 6x1/2 speakers.

Also, I'm kind of in-the-dark when it comes to Audio Technology, so can someone guide me into what I should look for in sound quality and price? I'm only looking to spend 200 dollars for the 2 speakers combined. That and I am looking for something that focuses more on the mids; I really want something that produces a deep, rich bass with enough clarity to still hear the voices and actual music.

Appreciated
Trigger Happy.

Default RE: Replacing Rear Door Speakers

For a 94 they do have 6 3/4 in the rear doors but 6 1/2 will also easily bolt in so either or will work. Personally i went 6 3/4 when i replaced em in my 94 last year (previous owner had replaced factory speakers with cheap autozone 6 1/2 speakers is how I know both will work)

Check out Crutchfield - plug in your Blazer's info and they'll send you to stuff that fits (yes, it's 6-3/4 for full fit, 6-1/2 for partial fit), then check out the Hands On Research section - that gives you info on how each speakers perform.
