Wiring diagram for a pioneer deh 1000 wire colors are off the plug in back of unit. Searched cant find, looked on internet, hard to find unless I buy a plug and they send the color code. Is that what I need to do?

black
red
blue with white tracer
gray
gray black tracer
white
white black tracer
purple
purple black tracer
green
green black tracer

 

that is a standard wiring diagream for any aftermarket radio in the world. if you buy the factory wiring adaptor, you just match up the colors. if you need to hardwire the radio, search on here for wiring diagrams in Audio/Video section. I have made many posts about the wires in out cars.
