But I can't find the official best lift kit out there. I've done extensive research on the 2.5" RC kit and briefly looked into the 5" BDS kit (then saw the price). I'd like something that doesn't increase wear on the CV's or ball joints. I can't talk myself into paying $450 for the RC kit when the diff. drop doesn't correct the angles. I want more than a shackle/tbar lift without paying for it later or paying $2k for it up front. Anybody have any ideas? There has to be something in between. I just can't find it.

I'm for sure doin a body lift. And still undecided about the RC 2.5" lift. It all depends on what kind of money I come into this spring I guess.

Read pj's thread in the general discussion. The thread name has "interesting" in it.

The one about the diff. drop right? I saw that and I've been keeping an eye on it.

I've done both, a sfa is easier, cheaper, and stronger. Research up front is the key.

With all the problems these things have with the factory ifs ditching it is a no brainer. I wasted money on lifts claiming the same thing you did before I wound up doing a sfa. Right now I'm pulling the 3.4 I built last year for a 5.7. That doesn't hurt as bad since ill put it in my truck for my back up to my blazer which once finished will be my daily driver and minor trail rig. Save your money, do plenty of planning, and build it once.
