The sub is a P2D412. 4 ohm 250 watts rms 500 watts max.

So. with these subs, and this 1200 watt amp with 500 rms,i guess im already pushing the subs to the max?

These settings on the back of the amp,Is there a certain setting it needs? or is it for just final tweaking?

Also, the wire from the amp to the back of the box looks to be 12 maybe 14. What size does it need to be? the wire inside looks to be 8 or 10

Is each sub in it's own chamber or do they share one chamber? (if shared you need to change the wiring) As it is they're pushing 600W max each as they are wired(2ohm load per channel), don't push it too hard (max volume) and you'll be fine.. if you crank it up and it sounds like the bass is distorting... it probably is and that is really bad for the speakers

Chamber? as in divided in the box? There is a wall between that goes all the way back until the last 2 inches or so. There is 2 sets of connectors that the wires from the subs go to in the back of the box.

I should get pictures! but i cant find my darn camera.

What can i do about the amp pushing too much power to the subs? Is it a volume thing? or can i adjust something on the back of the amp to regulate power?

Also,i noticed someone replaced the 30 amp fuses with 40 amp fuses. I need to swap em out! Im hoping i dont run into problems.

does the wall completely separate the two sections or do they share the same air volume?

Im gonna say the same. When i had the sub out i glanced and looked like it went through. I'll have it apart again later if i need to redo the wires..

if they share the same space then they should be bridged on the amp, which will need a rewiring, if they're seperate then you can leave them as is.

If i bridge them,Wont that send 1200 watts max to both? they are just 500 watts max each.
