xplode amps are very low end and will never put out their rated numbers.

x3. My girlfriend has all Sony Xplode stuff in her car and it does not sound good. For what she paid she could definitely have something noticeably better.

I have all Xplod in my truck and it beats clarity of alot of others. No, Sony isn't top end, or even close, but they aren't bad. You just need to match almost precisely with the rms and max watts or it will sound like poop taking a poop. Don't power anything but Sonys with a Sony...

I had a 500 watt peak explode amp with my JL Audio 1w2s and they sounded pretty good.

I have the xplode 6.5's in my doors and am happy with them. They sound much better with a sub as their low end is not really there.

The dash 4x6's are great for bringing the staging up in front of you and rounds out the door ones well. I'm powering them on an eclipse EA4000 though so take it for what it's worth.

I can't speak for the amp/subs though you could certainly do worse.

I bet if I bought an aftermarket head unit, my system would sound better :-) I just hate the look of a bright blinking setup surrounded by wood trim lol
