Default RE: Sony stereo

I just installed a Sony CDX-GT710 in my '90 today.
The reason is because I had a similar unit til it was stolen last New Years Eve. I had the unit replaced with the insurance money with a JVC unit. The JVC was ok but I didn't like the remote control. I gave the JVC to my son for his '80 Malibu and replaced it with the Sony.
I get great sound and have no problem with hooking in my amp & sub.

Default RE: Sony stereo

I will say that I found their receivers relatively user friendly, at least the older ones from the late 90s. I actually like the older expensive Sony models though. Remember the Active Black Panel receiver they used to have? I loved that thing! Looked really sweet in its day. The other models though, i've heard of more bad stories than good. I seriously don't know anyone who has any new Sony stuff now.
