Default Sound Dampening

Hello, I have been looking into sound dampening for a long time. I have found this stuff called second skin. I know they are a reputable company, but i need a little guidence. they have a few different products. One is called damplifier, it is very much like dynamat. they also have rattle pad, which is pretty self explanatory. i am trying to eliminate rattles in my door panels. The logical mind would say, use the rattle pad, but that requires that you put it on the entire door panel, and that is an expense that i cannot incure. What i need to know is if the dynamat like product will absorb rattles if i put it behind my speakers, and i a radius around them. I asked the same question on the second skin forums, but i figured you guys might know better because you are more familiar with the blazers. I have been told by my bestbuy employee friend that this will work, but i'm a little shaky. thank you.

btw, here's some links

really, in the back of a blazer, esp 2 doors, the rattle only comes from the snaps or fasteners not making it tight enough. ghetto way, but put some tape on them and it will tighten them up. Sound deadening is always a quality upgrade, but the tape thing worked in my truck.

This is stuff that I have seen people use, they were sponsered so they got it for free but it worked really good and I would reccomend it to anyone who was looking for an alternate to dynamat.

Well, i ordered the damplifier today. I can't wait for it to get here and put it in. Also, big news, i'm getting my 6x9's for the back of my ride tomorow. I cannot wait to put those babies in. Hopefully the damplifier gets here soon so i can do it all in one shot.

blazers along with most checys are a real bitch when it comes to rattles. i still got 75 sq ft of fatmat and my blaze needs it bad. you should try the sludge too for the hard to mat areas.
