Default Speaker problem-again

I just replaced my rear mid panel 6x9's. I thought the driver side speaker was dead. The new speaker worked fine when installed but now it's not working either. Could this be the cd deck rather than a wiring issue? All the other speakers work fine. It has the factory am/fm/cd acdelco deck (not bose).
Thanks for the help.

I would say a loose wire, or a bad deck

don't want to sound too stupid saying this but make sure the ground wire is secure and not majorly crimped or stretched anywhere.

I thought about something like that. Seems strange how it worked for a day then stopped. I'll pull the deck to check further. Maybe a good time to replace the deck too.

take out the "nonfunctional" speaker, turn on your stereo, and get a digital multimeter. test the + and - wires coming from the stereo and see if it reads anything. if it doesnt, then you got break in the wire somewhere or 1 of the channels in your stereos internal amp is fried. if it does, then test another speaker and see if the V readings are close to the same. if they arent, same problems i just mentioned. if they are the same, either its a weird fluke, or your speakers are bad. what kinda speakers are they BTW?

I replaced the 2 6x9's with Clarion's. Once the speakers were replaced they each worked fine. When I got in the truck the next day, the driver side rear did not work again. I had the same problem with the original factory speaker. I'm wondering if the deck has a bad channel, would it only effect that one speaker otherwise it must be a wiring problem. The speaker doesn't cut in/out, so I'm thinking it's the deck. I must admit, even when the speaker was working, it didn't make much difference in the overall sound of the system. Thanks for the input.

I put a Pioneer in my 1999 Blazer to replace the standard Delco. It sounds so much better it isn't even funny. Makes me think I should replace the factory speakers, too.
