Default Speaker size in doors 1997 and 2000.

Both of our blazers (1997 and 2000) have had speaker problems which appear to be common in these vehicles. I have done the front doors first. Now it will be the rear doors. While going through vehicles in a salvage yard I found that all of the front were 6 inch diameter coming from models of 1996 to 2001. I am using the diameter of the metal speaker frame for size. The only difference I found was the type of electrical connector, all are 4 ohm. For those reading this and have actually been inside the rear doors, are the same size speakers used in the rear doors? Before I remove the rear door panels I would like to know that the speakers will fit, or is another trip to the salvage yard needed? The OEM speakers are not of very good quality to begin with. The paper cone coming loose from the frame was the problem with 3 out of the 4. They can be re-glued and still sound o k. Are there after market replacements that are drop in? If so, what brands and models? Thanks to all for helpful information. G43
