It is usually just a matter of grounding that wire!

you need a bravada dash insert (sorry i can't remember the proper name), but the bravada's where built with a double din and if im correct should fit in the blazer's 1.5 din area

The hole in the dash is to small needs tobe cut away but im fine with that i just want the proper mounts to hold the double din in the dash securely

ive never really looked into this before...im not sure if there is anyone out there that has but i would assume you could just fab up some custom mounts really easy. i would just grab a piece of sheet metal and rivet it to some existing structure somewhere in the dash...this is just what i would say =/ you also might have to make sure it is properly isolated idk

the factory 03+ s10 has a Double din opening. You want to look for a 03+ dash bezel with the RDS option (this will indicate the Double din opening)

So has anyone been able to connect an amp with the factory Bose system? I'm thinking of adding an new HU and would like to add two subs as well. I bought a scosche fai-3a output converter, has anybody used this with any luck?

Default First Installation

So I decided to replace my dying Pioneer cd player in my 99 blazer today. I bought a new Sony CD Player and attempted to install it. I matched up all the wires and the player kicked right on. When I went to put it in the dash, the new cd player quit. It will still accept/eject cds but not play music.

I need help.

It seems like there is an overabundance of wires, including two that aren't even connected to anything.

Helpful hints, or somewhere you can point me that can give me some pictures or instructions?

Thanks!

Samantha

I connected my bose system without the output converter, everything seems to work with no issues. Also like stated above the blue/white wire needs to connect to the blue wire in the wiring harness cable. In my case it wouldn't play any cds or my ipod until i connected the blue/white from the HU up with the blue one in the harness.
