Default stock radio broken????

My wifes 99 Blazer Came stock with a delco tape player but she wanted a cd player so we bought one on ebay. The seller said it was locked but I know how to unlock them...the problem lies in after installing it and going to unlock the radio when i press the 2 & 3 preset buttons to get the 3 digit code nothing apears.. so I am led to believe that the buttons are not working...

Does anyone have any information on how to test or fix this problem. Or at least somewhere or someone who does?

thanks

to my knowledge, you have to take it to a gm dealership and have a tech call a hot line. they will be supplied with a code to unlock it. i hate those stupid theft lock systems
