Default Stock Radio XM Ready??

Does anyone know if the stock 2004 Radio is XM ready? (I'm not sure how many various radio's were offered in '04, I'm wondering about the single disk (no cassette) with RDS.

I bought an aftermarket kit from eBay which was supposed to work (I had a similar kit in my Saturn Vue and it worked fine, but I know that was XM Ready) - its supposed to allow me to use the XM Direct (from Audiovox) and have XM through he factory head unit.

Anyway, when I hooked it up it no workie. If the HU isn't XM Ready then thats why, if it is XM ready than I might just have a bad adapter.

If anyone has had success getting XM to work with the factory head units can you send me the link to what you bought? I miss my XM!!

Default RE: Stock Radio XM Ready??

Xm direct goes through the FM antenna signal and can be use with just about any radio with an antenna plug...XM ready factory units are only uprgradable to XM from the dealer...
