If you would have read some of the previous post you might have realized that a couple people here think you can do better than an L7...My personal opinion is that L7's are overpriced junk. Alot of people argue that they get loud even though they sound like crap, But that doesnt even sound like a compelling argument to me. When I can do a little shopping and find something for the same price(if not less) that gets louder and sound a lot better doing it, seems pointless to settle for the L7...CVR's are about the only subs I would concider from Kicker...

Loud is the only thing most Kicker subs are good for, which is why I never bother with their subs.

A wise man once told me that there are three and only three important things when getting the best sound from a sub.

1. Box
2. Box
3. Box

Any of the recommended subs will sound great, if put in the properly built and tuned box. Especially if its ported.

I would get the Type-R. Type R should sound much better when really loud versus an L7. A 12" will handle 750 rms let alone a 15".

You really cant go wrong with either. All the Fi stuff is built and designed by the original operator of RE Audio. And all the Sound SPlinter stuff is built and designed by TC Sounds Inc. Both very reputable companies with great drivers...
