Only thing about pioneer headunits is that some owners complain of the RCA outputs not being grounded good. But it's not extremly common but if it happens pioneer will replace the terminals. I personally installed a Kenwood mp345 (129.99 on crutchfield) and like it. But I debated on a Pioneer DEH3200?, but they were sold out.

Generally, if the grounds aren't good its because the RCAs are cheap. i had the problem but when i upgraded to some JL Audio RCA cables the problem went away.

I will have to say this thread is dead btw, i think 02xblazer sold his truck

Yeah I saw he was still wanting to install a system and wanted to offer some advice of what I had heard. A couple guys said they had to ground thier rcas when they got their pioneers but then agian they didn't use the best wiring and all. I always try to share my personal experience with a product and not what I read or hear on the Internet. But thanks for clearing that up with it being mostly cables and not the outputs.

Yeah, like I said, I has crappy rca cables that I did ground to the back of the unit, this lasted until some idiot at a local shop tried to "fix" my amp in the rear. My amp kept going into protect mode, he took out my radio and instead of unscrewing the grounded rca, he tugged on it then when I picked it up he said it was already broken. So I fought them on it and ended up getting a refund on the rca cables which allowed me to go buy new better Rca cables. To keep the story from getting longer, I installed the JL cables and it works great now. no buzzing, popping, skips, whatever, just tight clean bass.
