Box tuning is all determined by the port.
The length the air has to travel will help determine the tuning.
In slot ports its basically how deep the cut on the port peice is.
Example of mine:

Notice how theres an open space? This is where the air is released and helps the tuning. This also determines how tall and deep the port itself is also!
With areo ports it's just about how long the tubing is from TIP TO TIP.

Ah I just pass along what I know.
I've been into this for only like 3 years now but idk I just seem to absorb all this stuff.
As for the subs Take a look at this chart in a recent test on a 12" CVX
Sealed

Ported

Also might wanna check out a Mass Destruction Napalm...... Wow sorry if that seems like a sales pitch but the power efficiency on these are crazy.
Check the vid of what it can doooooo

JOn, on the cvx charts, ones at 1.5 and 750, the other is 2.2 with 800......surprise surprise, the one with more air and power is louder. Also, what are the power ratings for the napalms? damn! I never knew they were that monstrous [sm=smiley20.gif]

Yea you cant go TO big with a sealed box cause the sub will bottom out. and only 50 watts..... lol.
1k daily 4k SPL burps is what there rated at. but supposedly someone did 10k SPL burp on it... but i doubt that.
