Default tweeter question

when connecting tweeters to my system, i was wondering if i could actually connect them to my aftermarket headunit without another amplifier? and if so how would it be done? can anyone help me please?

i'm hoping you're talking about real component speakers (regular size speaker, crossover, and tweeter)........

yes it is possible, IF your HU meets the following criteria.

1. the impedence of your tweeters match the impedence capabilites of your HU amplifier
2. your HU has a built in adjustable crossover for tweeters OR you install an inline crossover to your tweet (usually a properly calculated capacitor)
3. be careful if you are using your HU amp along with the RCA outputs. Some HUs only allow one or the other.
