As you may know I am redoing my whole sound system and I am looking into the tweeters now. First of all, is it really worth it to get new ones? I tried searching on here, and google, and couldn't come up with anything, so what size are the tweeters in the dash of a 2003 Blazer?

Also, I want Alpines (unless they don't make any good ones) so can you suggest some good alpines to me?

So it doesn't really matter the size so much? I took off the cover today and had a look. I looks like the hole will fit a lot of different sizes.

 

I don't recommend Alpine or putting any new speakers up there. IMO you should put componets in the doors and place the tweeter as far as you can away but still in the door near the 6.5 midbass. Pick up a set of HCCA Millenium series componets with gonzo tweeters from Patrick at Robot Underground. He has an e-bay store where he sells tons of stuff he got from the giant ADST auction back when Orion floundered. He is also a hell of a guy and will take care of you personally. You can find this stuff by searching for HCCA on e-bay and then finding a product he sells (probably amplifier plugs) and then going to his e-bay store. Robotunderground.com is not yet functional I don't think.

Any decent tweeter will tear your head off from up there in the dash and make horrible sound quality in your vehicle, especially if amplified. Just don't even mess with them.

 

Thanks for the advice, but I just decided to leave those tweeters alone and let the ones in the center of the speakers to do the job. I am getting a new deck soon too, so with the tweeters on the center of the speakers and the new deck, I think I will be satisfied.
