Audio/Video Electronics Wired up? If you have some sort of A/V modification let's hear about it here. Discussion of stock electrical problems should be done in the 'Lighting & Electrical' section.

Lightbulb What do you reccomend for speakers?

Thats right! What do YOU recommend I replace my speakers with? The dash speakers are fine, but the passenger front is rattling now with bass. i dont want to add an amp or bass tube, but want some good replacement speakers that would be better than stock. I don't really want to spend more than $100/pair, or somewhere close to that.

x2 on Pioneers. 180 watt 6.5" pair for less than$40 TS-G1642R. Cheap, sound good off stock or upgrade HU w/o amp.
BONUS: held up to being submerged partially for 4 hours!!

I like my Polk db651's. I'm running them off my head unit and they sound pretty good. Got them through accomidations though when I worked for circuit city. I paid like 40 for them. Not sure what you can pick them up for online.

Thanks for the input! I like what i've heard about the pioneers, especially since i am not afraid of a mud/water hole or two myself.

These are two-ways.
You can hear the bass pulling it's weight. It's no 8", hell it's not even a 6x9, but the woofer side does it's job well. You could do worse. Stock HU pushes like 50 watt peak to the speakers. My stock speakers were 9.5 ohm impedance. Meaning they were tragically under powered. These guys are 4 ohm, have a tweeter built in, and will stand up to much MUCH more punishment should you get and amp and/or new HU. You will notice an immideate difference in sound.

50 watts? not a chance.

the PG's play down to 45hz and are 49 or 59 bucks right now at www.woofersetc.com, half what i paid. and the tweeters sound great.
