Default What subwoofer and amp would you recommend

Hey everyone!

My 04 blazer setup: Alpine head unit, pioneer 6.5 2 way in front, Kicker 6x9 https://soundrating.com/best-6x9-speakers/#kicker in the rear. The amp is Alpine MRV-F300 https://www.crutchfield.com/S-SoCA0J...e-MRV-F300.html

Looking for a good amp and 12 sub. Budget isn't too big. Anyone have any recommendations?

I ran some pioneers from Walmart, think it was about 100 cdn for a 12". Had a 750 pioneer amp that I got used, and the power and sound was great. I don't think the amps are too expensive either at Walmart for a matching pioneer...

I don't think I've every gotten a complete audio setup that matched... it was always new speaker with used amps lol...

But its really hard to say... I like Boston acoustics for their bass, pioneer for their price. But I find that with a little more money, you'll get stuff you can abuse a little more and it'll sound great.

You trying to just add some low end frequency to enhance the audio quality, or are you looking to rattle the mirrors on the car next to you at a traffic light? And what kind of budget are we talking about here?

Here's what I am running for AMP and sub (along with 4 Focal RSE-165's) in my 4-door. Just strap the tube down in the rear with the included bracket and point it at the RR corner. Unstrap it if you want to haul something and it is in the way. Had mine in for a year and a half. Zero issues. Sounds great IMHO with that low bass filled in - but it will downright punish you at full volume.

$280.00 for both at these links, but I would hurry.

If all you're looking for is to add a little lower end to the existing system, Rockford Fosgate has some really trick all-in-one powered subwoofer setups. I'm running one in my little Saturn, use to actually have it in the Blazer. Mine is just a 10" version, but the 12" version would probably give a little more rich low end sound. My favorite feature about them is the disconnect on the main power and line in wires. Lets you pull the entire setup out in seconds so you can get a little extra room in the back. But it's nice to have the amp and sub enclosure all together, makes for a lot less mess of wiring to deal with.

Personally I'm a Rockford fan boy... I have Rockford components in all 3 of my vehicles. To me it's hard to beat the audio quality. The only brand I've found that sounds better to me (in my price range) is CT sounds.

I've gone a little overboard in my Blazer in the past, but I've since downgraded significantly because I wanted my cargo area back lol.
