do i NEED to get projectors?
do i NEED to get projectors?
With headlights designed for hi and low beams in a single reflector, HID's WILL blind traffic. Take a look at Ford's and Dodge's.
Also, for the best light output and the easiest on your eyes, you want no higher than 5000k. Preferably 4300k.
Anything more is just going to refract more, and blind more people, as well as make your eyes work harder than they need to.

Look for "S10 H4" conversions... For first gens, of course.
A good quality H4 conversion using good quality H4 bulbs will work wonders, without the extra hassle of HID.
The H4 conversion I did on my '85 S10 blew away my '05 Blazer's stock headlights.

Ahhh, so you're one of THOSE people with HID's [8D]
lol
Those housings with a good set of halogen H4's will perform awesome.
With HID's in there, you'll do nothing but blind people, and probably get pulled over by the police, as technically, HID's are illeagal in anything that does not have the factory option for it.

You don't need them, but unless you want to blind every oncoming vehicle, they're a good idea.
