Wiring diagram
Someone needed my kenwood 6022 radio more than me. Does anyone know what the wiring diagram is for a 96 gmc jimmy so i can hook up another radio. I can get the color of the wires if need. Thanks

RE: Wiring diagram
search function works wonders here on BF.
12v constant is Orange -
12v switched is yellow(larger wire) -
ground is black,
ignore the grey and brown, for must and illumination. don't worry about them
Speakers are
Left Front
Tan is positive - connect to solid gray
Grey is negative - connect to gray with black tracer
Rt Front
Lt Green is Positive - connect to solid white
Dk Green is Negative - connect to white with black tracer
Left Rear
Brown is positive - connect to solid green
Yellow(smaller wire) is Negative - connect to green with black tracer
Rt Rear
Positive is Dk. Blue - connect to solid purple wire
Negative is Lt. Blue - connect to purple with black tracer
thats it. please use some kind of crimpers (crimp caps, butt connectors) on the wiring connections. tape is not sufficient

RE: Wiring diagram
I was able to go to used parts yard and get a factory wire for my 96 gmc jimmy and was able to reconnect to my wire harness so it would be back to factory end connections. When they stole my old hu I had to redo the wires. According to the colors of the wires I connected they seem to be different colors or am I not correct? This is what I thought the colors of the wires were> Am I wrong?

RE: Wiring diagram
have only ever seen tan, grey, light green and dark green. best way to check, is pull grommet away from inside of door jamb.or pull door panel off. You can test the wires, get a 9v battery and touch one lead to the positive terminal and the other lead to the negative terminal. speaker should pop if you have the right wiring.
