I think the Dealer which I purchased the Blazer isn't going to be able to help. The only thing the Dealer can do is help select a new Blazer or a new GM vehicle if GM is willing to give me $44K (my purchase price) towards a vehicle that doesn't have that 9 speed tranny. I don't feel confident that 9 speed FWD is reliable. Maybe the 10 speed RWD in the Tahoe or Silverado have a better reliability. I just want my money back per the Lemon Law.
You might want to talk to a manager. If you are a customer in good standing, sometimes the dealer can contact GM on your behalf. GM bought back my 2017 Yukon with the lousy 8 speed trans. My dealer helped quite a bit with dealing with GM. Rather than cashing out I opted for a new car. That way you don't have to pay sales tax again (depending on the rules in your state). California is the worst for taxes.

GM sent me the offer is writing and it's different than what I thought I heard on the phone call. The written offer is better. Option 1: A New 2023 Blazer similarly packaged. Option 2: A FULL Refund of my purchase price. This is different from what I heard on the phone call. I thought I heard "trade-in value" which is much less than Full Refund. Here is the kicker. Both options have a "Usage Fee" called the Song Beverly Act which charges me for usage of my car and the formula is miles on my car/120,000 times the purchase price, so in my case with 6200 miles, it would cost me around $2200 for the new blazer or my refund will be 2200 less. The best value would be to pick out a new blazer or see if I can select another vehicle like a Tahoe and use the new blazer value towards that Tahoe. Of course, I would need to pay extra because the vehicles differ in base price. So, I have options to work with. GM will set me up with a dealer to negotiate the trade. This might be a good opportunity to get into a RWD V8 instead of his untrustworthy FWD transmission in the Blazer. More updates to come.
The usage charge for mileage is common. I experience the same parameters during the GM sanctioned trade for my Yukon Denali for the current Tahoe Premium. So far I haven't experienced any significant problems with my 9 speed trans in our Blazer Premier. Once in a while it will "clunk" when stopping and the trans downshifting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I can't believe American car manufacturers can't make a reliable trans. I looked at a Mazda SUV. Mazda makes their own transmissions, and they are rock solid.
Turned in my '21 Blazer and picked up this Tahoe. Blazer with front wheel drive was my mistake and now I'm a RWD guy for good. The Lemon Law process with GM was easy. Just don't get a lawyer. They work with the customer and offer a good deal on another GM vehicle. I just hope I don't need to go through that process again.
I just had a complete transmission failure. It won't go into reverse. It is a 2021 Chevy Blazer LT2 with a 6 cylinder engine and a 9T65 transmission. It will not go into reverse. I took it to 3 different shops and all 3 said you need a new transmission. Took it to the best transmission place in town. The code is Failure in clutch drum A, housing 5-7 reverse & 6789 clutch housing. They are installing a new GM transmission for $7000. Our local GMC shop wanted $10000, after 10% off. GM is offering no relief on this. It's a poorly designed and faulty transmission, and financially catastrophic, but they are offering nothing.

I just got it back. $7600. The shop said they are seeing A LOT of 9T65 failures now. He was surprised that mine lasted as long as it did. Usually they fail right after 60000 miles (warrantee). He said GM doesn't care. After 60000 miles, they consider themselves off the hook. The sad thing is Consumer Reports recommended this car. But now... I'm feeling the pain.
