Default 1996 v8 blazer

Hey everyone I'm new to the thread and I was hoping for a couple of answers I read threw a lot the forums and found just about everything I need to know about a v8 swap however I don't completely understand the electrical so here is my question I am swapping out a 1996 4x4 blazer with a current 4.3 and 4l60e tranny and wanting to drop in a carbed 350 and keep the 4l60e how to I go about wiring it up and keeping the tranny functional along with my cab and light controls do I need to keep the computer please any help will be appreciated thanks

Im pretty sure that setup wont work.Your wiring harness will need to be changed and the ecm controls the functions on both the trans and engine.You would have to switch to nonelectronic trans or a newer engine.

Lots of trouble,and money. stick with a 700r4 with a lock up switch,or a 350 turbo/400 turbo. 4l60s need the tps on the throttle body or else it wont work.

Is there a reason you are wanting to used a carbed motor or do you just have one on hand? Like they said above me its way to much work and money to make them work together. If you don't already have a motor look into find a 96-00 5.7 vortec. Its almost a direct swap with the addition of motor mounts and a few estra wires. Even the accs will swap from the 4.3. Then just have the computer reprogrammed and your driving!
