thats usually what i always tell people. my very first k5 blazer i had had 273 gears and 38 inch tires so your truck cant be no where near as crappy as that truck was. but even that was still fun just very slow on the street.

Just re-read the first page....

Since you're going with a waggy front, you should look into a d44 rear out of an old leaf sprung Isuzu Rodeo / Honda passport. They have the same bolt pattern as the waggy front, good disc brakes and they come with factory 4.10, 4.30, or 4.56 gears and L/S. If you can find two rear axles with the same ratio you can steal the R&P and carrier out of the one and swap in into the 44 front.

I know you said you were going to run the stock rear... but just a thought. There's a bunch of guys running that combo on the s10forum...

Since they're both Low Pinion the gears/carrier will work in either front or rear axles. I believe the only thing required is to swap to the correct size pinion bearing for the front waggy 44.

so updates and stuff I bought the ord kit about a week ago waiting for it to come and im suppose to getting a whole waggy on Tuesday aug 13. listen to this the guy had on craigslist for 295 dollars so I thought he made a mistake and it was suppose to be 2950 so I email the guy for week start about wanting to see the car and he was always bush and sick finally saw it has 44 front no vac disconnect he really wanted 295 dollars the whole car that below scrap so in the post he also had to barter the car for handwork around the house which Im doing for him 2 days of work for a waggy not a bad deal just hope hes not creepy

I also found rims, 6 lug with the right hub bore the waggy front axle for 250 still new in box when I went to look at them we opened them together to make sure they were black lol

I took out of my old sas blazer the front shocks 8 inch travel gas shocks and the brake lines hoping there the same as waggy axle cause there long

I installed a 7 pin and 4 pin trailer harness on my truck too I found out that my truck has rpo (if that's correct) z85 uy7 codes 4 pack leaf spring in rear and heavy duty towing harness and I also would out my blazer has a 8.5 rear axle which is like a 10 bolt axle there more rare in blazers and are more desirable.

Sweet! It IS a 10 bolt! Same ring/pinion as the 1/2 and 3/4 ton pickup front and 1/2 ton rear. It is very similar in strength to the Dana 44. I have heard of them, but never seen one in person.

so I got the wagoneer took the axle out and junked it all in one day in the rain ... got $420 dollars for junking it and spent zero $

literally took 3 heavy duty saw blades, cut the brake lines, cut shackle in half, cut leaf spring mount straight off frame, cut track bar mount off frame, and sadly had to cut the pitman arm in half couldn't come off steering shaft, and unbolted driveshaft

Nobody seems to want them other than for the axles. I got mine for free for the 360 to put in the Jeep. Guy just wanted it out of his yard. I drove it onto the trailer...
